arp1The roots of Swing Street Radio date back to Portland, Oregon non-commercial radio in the 1970’s, where it aired as a weekly half hour music and artist interview show. Over a decade ago, it expanded to its current weekly two-hour format, providing Big Band & Swing music from a library of over 14,000 rare and vintage recordings.

Swing Street Radio offers everything you need from a radio content provider to reach a growing fan base of younger new listeners and long-time faithful fans like no other format can do.

Stations carrying Swing Street Radio enjoy experienced talent, strategic music rotations, consistent quality, and support for local non-profit station initiatives. Best of all, you maintain your own local brand image. Nearly 92% of all Americans 12 and older are listening to radio every week. That’s over 244 million listeners! (Nielson Research).

Live & Local – Many radio programmers believe that simply being local is enough to succeed. However, “local” is not enough, and great local talent is hard to find and expensive to retain! The truth is, great radio is how you will win the hearts of listeners in your market as you play the right music, and share about the things that matter most to them in a relatable and entertaining way. Swing Street Radio wants to help your station become THE source for Swing & Big Band music in your market. Your station can still feel local with the added benefit of the right music rotations and content.

Music – Playing the right music in the right rotation is the most critical thing your station will do every day. You have to be able to play the music that will keep your listeners engaged. With the number of digital listening options available to your audience, you have to win with every song. Swing Street Radio invests significant time and effort collecting, restoring and preserving rare, vintage recordings from the Golden Age of Popular Music. And we showcase many recordings that have never been made commercially available since first released in their original 78rpm or 16″ radio transcription formats. As a bonus, we mention the song title and artist at the end of each set so your listeners will stay engaged with your station.

Artists – No one will give you greater access to your listener’s favorite Swing & Big Band artists than Swing Street Radio. We broadcast from the San Francisco Bay Area and have unparalleled access to a collection of the top artists and recordings. Educational and entertaining Artist Profile segments and high production values give you the large station sound you want no matter the size of your signal.
